There Once Was a Bowflex...

In my bedroom I inherited a bowflex from the previous teacher.  He lived by himself in our 2 bedroom house, so he used my bedroom as a work out room.  There is a lovely poster of how to use the bowflex on my wall.  I was told that I should learn how to use the bowflex in my sleep and "sleep work-out."

This is what the bowflex looked like before I moved my bed into my room.  It is pretty huge and takes up most of the room.  We had to move it over, so it basically was inside the closet.

Instead of learning how to sleep work-out, I decided to use the bowflex as a towel holder.  I also used it as a seat sometimes. The bowflex makes a great recliner when talking on the phone.  It is also a great place to hang up my raincoat when it needs to dry out.

Finally, after 4 weeks of school, the bowflex was going to be moved out of my bedroom and into the high school.  My site administrator, Jerry, took the lead on project bowlfex relocation.  First, it took us 3 trips to the storage room to find the correct sized tools.  Then, it took an hour to figure out how to remove just enough bars and brackets to fit through the doors of my house.  It was a pain getting it through the door, but we finally made it! :) Good thing we ran into Michael in the high school and asked him to help us on our mission.

Michael and Jerry practically had to drag the bowflex down the boardwalk after the wheels broke.  I guess those tiny little plastic wheels weren't made for wheeling the giant bowlfex down a wooden ramp and across a boardwalk.  Sarah stepped in to help drag the bowflex down the boardwalk.

We had a honda with the trailer at the end of the boardwalk to take the bowflex to the high school.  It took all four of us to finagle the bowflex into the trailer.  We then had to stash all of the various pieces that we took off onto the trailer as well.  It all barely fit onto the trailer.  Jerry had to drive super slow so nothing would fall out.

It took all four of us to get the bowflex into the high school.  We couldn't drag or push it since the wheels broke off.  We didn't want to scratch the floor or ruin the carpet in the high school.  So, we ended up carrying the bowflex from the trailer, up the ramp, and into the school.  Carrying a bowflex is not fun.  We finally got the bowflex into the spare classroom.  Now Jerry has to figure out how to put everything back together! Hopefully we didn't lose any screws on the way over. :)

My room is much more spacious now that the bowflex is gone.  Maybe I will have to rearrange my furniture so my room doesn't look so bare.

All said and done, it took way longer to move the bowflex than I would have liked, but I'm glad to finally have it out of my room. :)
