Here's what you see when you first come into my classroom. I don't have a door, just a doorway.
I use my divider wall as word walls and bulletin boards. The brown section is my English word wall, and the green section is the Yugtun word wall. We have a bulletin board for science, social studies, and health along this wall too.
All of my games, manipulatives, and resources are all jam packed onto these shelves. I spent 2 whole days before school started reorganizing everything. I labeled everything so I can actually see what is on each shelf.
I have a sink in my room. It's great, but my all students want to wash their hands all the time. They also try to get drinks from the sink.
I'm lucky to have a Smartboard in my classroom. I also have a big colorful carpet where we can all sit together.
I have mailboxes for every student and a small classroom library. I have a teacher desk, but never get a chance to sit behind it. I really only use it to hide my coat and backpack from my kids. I might have convinced some kids that I sleep under it when I don't want to go home.
Looks very organized, Mary. So glad you have a rug area where you can all sit. How many students do you have?
