Berry Picking

In science we have been learning all about plants.  We have learned the parts of the plant and what each part does.  As a continuation of our plants unit, we decided to go berry picking up on the hill.  The high school, preschool, and 2nd/3rd grade students decided to join us on our field trip.  Each high schooler was in charge of 2 or 3 younger students.  

We walked up the hill to find all the berries.  

Students worked with their group to fill up their cups with all sorts of berries.

We found black berries, blueberries, and cranberries.  The majority of the berries were black berries.
