The school year has come to an end, and my journey back to the lower 48 has begun. I am currently in Bethel. Yesterday, Sarah and I flew in from Nightmute. We came in a day early just in case the weather delayed flights from the village. I didn't want a repeat of Christmas. That was a disaster.
We made it safely into Bethel last night and stayed in a hotel. Our flight to Anchorage is not until 9:00 tonight, so we are spending the whole day chilling in Bethel. Sarah and I will fly to Anchorage together, but after that, we go our own ways. I will be heading to Billings, Montana to meet my mom and dad for our cross country road trip, and Sarah will head home to Indiana.
