Billings, MT - Visited ZooMontana and the Pictograph Caves
We visited ZooMontana and had to stop for a photo op. The zoo was smaller than the Cleveland Zoo and had more local animals. The weather was perfect for a walk in the wild.
Daddy's favorite animals were the big horned sheep.
There was a family of four and a teenager.
The beavers were taking a snooze in their carrier instead of their dam.
Yes, there are TWO beavers in that carrier.
My favorite animals were the river otters.
Two otters were playing in the water while the third was basking in the sun.
Mother's favorite animal was the Grizzly Bear.
It was having fun playing with a stick in the water.
Our next adventure was to the Pictograph caves.
There were many cave painting from the Crow Indians.
The paintings are over 4000 years old.
Some of the paintings were hard to see, but we remembered our binoculars to get a closer look.
The state is working hard to preserve this part of history.
