I have decided to take a picture from the same location to show the progression of winter in the village.
The first picture I took the first week I arrived in Nightmute. It is my absolute favorite. You can see the lovely purple wildflowers along the boardwalk and the sun is shining.
The next picture was taken about a month later. There are no more flowers, but there are still green plants and the boats are out on the river.
My parents and I took a picture in the same spot when they came to visit. The grass is starting to die and turn brown. There aren't as many boats on the river.
The last picture was taken last weekend. It was snowing last week, so there is some left over snow on the boardwalk. The sun is shining so the first layer of ice on the river melted. So far what ever snow we got has melted after it rains. Hopefully the snow will start sticking soon! :)
