Sarah and I are attending a bilingual and multicultural conference in Anchorage. We arrived on Tuesday Nov. 19th and are staying until Saturday Nov. 23rd. We are having fun exploring Anchorage.
We are staying right downtown Anchorage. You can see the mountains from our hotel room. We are on the 14th floor, so we get a lovely view.
The best part about being in Anchorage is: trees. We missed trees very much. Nightmute does not have any trees. We are in the tundra. The closest things we have to trees are hardy bushes. There are many little parks downtown and we got to visit some trees.
We both enjoyed hugging a tree. It has been about 4 months since we last saw a real tree, not just hardy bushes. :)
