Recently, the school has started "Archery in the Schools," a program for students to participate in archery during PE. The program is for kids in 4th grade and up. We are even opening the gym for adult archery nights for adults in the community to enjoy archery. Six of the teachers have become trained archery instructors, myself included.
The kids love archery. They are all willing to come in on a Sunday afternoon to have an extra archery session. We are going to start an archery team that will compete against other schools. There is a national archery tournament in Kentucky in March. I'm not sure if we will be ready in time to go this year, but definitely next year!
A couple of time during an extra archery session on the weekend, the kids have been gracious enough to share with their teachers. Sarah and I have snuck in to shoot a round of arrows with them a couple of times already.
My first time shooting arrows, I was lucky enough to shoot an exact bullseye. I was super excited! It was pure luck, no skill involved. I have yet to get another bullseye. :( I'm still working on my aim.

Archery is my favorite shooting sport. I want to learn this. It needs concentration and perfect training and then practice. http://archerylessons.info/
