Happy Valentine's Day!
We had tons of fun celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday.
We kicked off the day by graphing conversation hearts. Everyone got a coffee filter full of hearts and we sorted them by color.
We then put them on the graph to color in the same amount of squares.
We also figured out which color we had the most and the fewest. (In case you are wondering, pink in the most and white is the fewest.) Everyone got to eat their hearts when they were finished graphing.
We worked all week during art to make valentines for everyone in the class. I hung red paper bags on my desk, so everyone had a bag for all their valentines. Some kids brought in valentines from the store with a candy attached on Friday.
We had lots of yummo treats on Valentine's Day. We had both Valentine's Day cookies and cupcakes brought in by one of my kiddos. They were quite delicious. :) Many of our valentines also had candy treats attached. We were all hopped up on sugar before lunch. Good thing we have half days on Fridays!
We also watched some Valentine's day specials on the smart board. We watched both the Spongebob and Arthur's Valentine's Day specials.
