Sarah and my house is not connected to the water system, therefore we have a large water tank that is filled twice a week. There is a water pump connected to the tank so we can have running water. Luckily the maintenance men at the school fill up the tanks for us, so we don't have to fill up our own tanks every few days.
However, this past week, our toilet has been running, so our water tank was depleted quickly. It was not refilled when it was supposed to, so Sarah and I had the lovely job of filling it ourselves.
We use a very long hose to run the water from the school to our water tank. Thankfully it was not freezing this weekend, but there was a lot of ice. I'm glad we did not fall flat on our faces while pulling the hose to our house. It takes about 15 minutes to completely fill the tank with water. Our tank holds about 175 gallons. The hardest part of filling the water tank it rolling up the hose again, but it's worth it to be able to flush the toilet, and take a shower. :)
