Giant Bone Found by the River

During our walks down to the airport, we have come across a giant bone along the side of the river. 

 At first we thought it was from a whale that someone caught.  Someone said it was a spine, however, I think it looks more like a rib bone.  I've also heard that it might be a jaw bone.  The bone is quite heavy.  There is a rope tied around it, and the position of the bone has moved too, so someone is trying to pull it somewhere.  

We think that the bone may be fossilized, and that it might belong to something way cooler than a whale.  Maybe a mastodon, or a dinosaur.  Who knows?  

I just like to think that I got to touch a real dinosaur bone.  It's pretty cool. :)
