Happy Belated Halloween!

I know Halloween was 2 weeks ago, but I finally gathered all of my pictures.

Our class received one pumpkin to carve this year.  We voted on the face and it had triangle eyes and scary eyebrows.  The eyebrows turned out gigantic, but you can still tell what it is.  The kids were very excited to see it all lit up on Halloween morning.

Everyone was encouraged to wear their costumes to school.  All of the teachers decided to be Harry Potter characters.  I was Hermione and Sarah was Hagrid.

I was Hermione and Sheri (our 5th/6th grade teacher) was Harry.  We called her "Sheri Potter" all day long.

Most of the kids wore their costumes to school.  I let the kids in my class borrow from our dress up clothes if they forgot to wear their costumes.

Sarah and I had a Halloween party with our classes together.  We played games, made crafts, and watched a Halloween movie.  We also made a Halloween cookie snack.  I made chocolate chip cookie dough and dyed it orange. We then used the chocolate chips to make a Jack O'Lantern face.  They were huge cookies, and they were quite delicious.

We took a group picture before going home.

It was quite chilly during trick or treat, so Sarah and I bundled up.  We stayed inside our porch with the door open and the space heater on.  All of the little ones had their snow pants on under their costumes.

After trick or treat, we had a Halloween Costume dance at the school.  All of the kids were invited to dance, but they were only allowed in if they were wearing their costumes.
